A loan of $725 helped to increase her inventory.

Juliana's story

Juliana is 49 years old, is married and has 5 children (ages 26, 18, 15, 10). She is a member of the “Triumfo II” communal bank. She sells snacks and is asking for a loan of 2,000 PEN (~$725) to invest in merchandise, such as snacks and clothing.

Juliana goes to the Iquicha fair on Wednesdays, to the Uchuraccay fair on Thursdays, to the Jano fair on Fridays, and to the Tambo fair on Sundays, where she sells women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing and snacks. She sells snacks in the María Parado de Bellido park on the days where she doesn’t travel.

She joined the communal bank after being invited. She likes it because it gives her a chance to save some money. She wants her children to develop professional careers and to continue growing her business.
