A loan of $500 helped to buy corn, firewood, and maintain the kitchen where she prepares her tortillas.

Arely's story

Arely is a 45-year old woman who resides in the city of San Miguel. She lives with her three children, ages 22, 17 and 15, who are financially dependent on her. For her part, she dedicates herself to selling tortillas, firewood, and beverages. She has been in business for 15 years, working from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. To date, she has had no difficulties with the business.

She needs a loan to buy corn, firewood, and to make some repairs to the kitchen where she prepares her tortillas. This would be a great help to her, allowing her to supply her inventory of goods and making her primary tool for preparing tortillas to operate in better condition. Her objective is to work hard in order to see her children complete their educations, so that they can later find stable employment that guarantees them a better future and standard of living.
