A loan of $375 helped to buy more livestock and well-balanced animal feed.

Blanca Flor's story

Blanca Flor is 25 years old and a single mother of one son. She lives in her own home in a rural area of the district of Motupe, an agricultural area in the Lambayeque province, approximately an hour and a half from the city of Chiclayo. Currently, her home does not have running water or electricity.

She works raising and selling small animals like sheep, pigs, and chickens. She keeps the animals in pens and coops on some land close to her home. Blanca Flor buys the animals in the outskirts of the city and then fattens them up and sells them in the city of Motupe. She has worked in this business for the past 6 years. She learned this trade from her father so she has understood the work from her youth. She would like to expand her business and buy more animals and well-balanced animal feed. She has requested a $375 loan from Edpyme Alternativa. She hopes to increase her sales and increase her income to cover her family expenses. She would like to keep building her business to achieve her dream: offer a better of quality of life for her son.
