Fidel Angel's story

Fidel Ángel is a 40 year-old gentleman who lives in San Rafael Oriente, in San Miguel department, together with his wife and children aged 17, 14 and 12. Fidel has been growing corn and beans for 25 years. He learned how to farm from his father and works regularly every day from 6.00am to 3.00pm, or longer if need be.

Fidel is currently in the process of sowing a new crop of basic grains. He is requesting a loan to invest in buying manure and fertilizers. This purchase will enable him to better care for his crops and take care of their growth. He hopes to obtain good fruit from his crops.

There are always risks in this business as everything depends on weather conditions which can favor or damage crops. Fidel is motivated by his desire to continue working since his family depend on him. In particular, he wants to prepare his children as he hopes that they will become professionals in the future.
