A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase various items.

Ibrahim Kalil's story

Mr. Ibrahim Kalil Sidibé is 33 years old, married and father to two children. He lives with his wife and children in the Medine district of the town of Ségou (the Republic of Mali's fourth administrative region).

Since he did not attend school, for social reasons, he began selling sets of jewelry with his elder sister who carried out her trading activities at the market in Médine. After several years' apprenticeship with her, he began to develop his own business selling various items and has been doing this now for ten years, thus benefiting from significant experience in this field.

With the intention of satisfying his ever growing customer base even more, he is requesting this second loan, the first having been repaid in full. He has been working with Soro Yiriwaso for the past twelve months. He is planning to use this second loan to buy ten chain sets and two dozen stainless steel cups. He gets his supplies locally.

Mr. Sidibé sells for cash and on credit to a customer base made up principally of women although he does have some male customers.

With this loan he is expecting to make a monthly profit of 100,000FCFA, which will allow him to repay his loan and to continue his business. His ambition is to maintain his business in the long term and to be able to access more funding.
