A loan of $300 helped to purchase more merchandise with which to supply her store.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth, 22 years of age, is modest and hard working. She lives in her own house, and is disposed to work very hard to succeed in life. Elizabeth’s store is one of the most frequented in Yanango. She opens very early in the morning, as she expects her neighbors to visit to buy the items they need. She is a good salesperson, happy and attentive, and always greets her customers with a smile and ready to assist them with their purchases.

What she enjoys most about her work is chatting with her neighbors. She has been in business for 3 years, and finds the most difficult aspect of her work to be staying all day in her storefront without leaving. Over time, she hopes to be able to expand her store and fill it with more merchandise to offer her clients a greater variety of products.

This is her first loan with MFP. She is committed to making her loan payments on time as she doesn’t want to cause any problems for her cooperative bank, where she is very well liked by the other members. She will use the eight hundred soles requested to buy more products to better supply her store.
