A loan of $725 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Rosinda's story

Rosinda, 30, is a very kind, hard working woman living in her parents’ house with her husband, José, 34, and their two beloved sons: Darwin, 7, and Adrián, 4, for whom she wants to provide a better quality of life. Throughout the years Rosinda has worked very hard to make sure that her crops are of very good quality. She works her fields every morning so that they will be more productive. The products she grows, like potatoes, gladiolas and peas, are sold at Tarma’s wholesale market where she gets the best prices. What she most likes about her work is harvesting. She’s been in this line of work for 8 years and what she considers to be the most difficult part of it is transporting the crops all the way to the markets where she sells them. In time, she hopes to plant on her entire field in order to increase production. This is her 2nd loan with MFP and she wants to make her payments on time because she wants to be able to access future loans to improve her business. She knows that she’ll have the support and guidance of her communal bank because she is a very well-liked member. She will use the requested 2000 new soles to buy sacks of manure to fertilize her fields.
