Franie's story

Franie Mamasig, S.. is from the village of Sinamar in the Philippines. He is 42 years old. Franie is married and has two school-aged children. To make a living, Franie owns and operates an agricultural business, raising crops. The main source of income for the business comes from planting and harvesting corn for sale. Franie has been engaged in his business for over 20 years and earns approximately 12,000 PHP a month for these activities.

In 2008, Franie joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Franie has successfully repaid a previous loan of 35,000 PHP from ASKI. This previous loan was used to purchase additional seeds, seedlings, and young crops to raise. Franie is now requesting a new loan of 50,000 PHP, which will be used to pay for services to increase crop yield. This loan will be the 8th loan taken out by Franie from ASKI. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to pay his children's tuition fees. About ASKI:
