A loan of $200 helped to purchase sacks of dry fish and to establish a restaurant business.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is a married woman with three children; two of the children attend school while one is still too young for school. Elizabeth owns a house that has no electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for her family.

For the past year, Elizabeth has operated a dry fish selling business; she sells at retail to hotel operators and her neighbours. Elizabeth faces a major challenge of delayed payments by debtors. She dreams of expanding her business in the future.

Elizabeth plans to use this KES 15,000 loan to purchase sacks of dry fish and to establish a restaurant business. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to improve her business.
