Jose Alberto's story

Señor José Alberto, age 45, is married to Señora Amparo, with whom he has three children. He lives in the area of the Esmeralda Highway in Sacaba, a province of the city of Cochabamba.

José is a very hardworking and responsible man. He had a sad life from when he was young. His mother raised him alone since his father abandoned them. He and his mother came to the city of Potosí, and she went to work so that José could get ahead. He was only able to finish high school, however, since he had to go to work at a young age because his mother was sick, and he wasn’t able to work and study at the same time. He was working as a bricklayer when his mother died, and he was alone when he met his wife, Señora Amparo, whom he has always supported.

José works with a loaned vehicle providing radiotaxi services. He works from early in the morning picking up students and also has regular customers that look for him because he is responsible in his work.

He is applying for the loan in order to purchase a gas tank for his vehicle. In this way, he will be able to have better income and make it possible for his children to be able to finish high school and begin careers. He dreams of a better life for his children, and he says that he wants a better future for them.
