Nelson S. O. is fifty-six years old and married. His wife is a businesslady and they have five children aged between twenty-three years old and ten years old. His business is located at Bukura Shopping Centre in Kakamega. Kakamega is in the western region of Kenya. It is a rich agricultural area known for production of sugarcane and commonly known as the sugar belt region.
He sells kerosene and diesel to the local people. Besides these items he also supplies milk to the local people. He has been in business for five years now. Nelson says that this business is profitable, and the major challenge he has is financial constraints. However, he works very hard to keep his business doing well. He is using his loan of 20,000 to purchase more diesel and kerosene to resell. He hopes to grow his business and in the future purchase a plot of land where he will put up rental houses. He describes himself as a visionary man.
