A loan of $1,700 helped a member to buy 10 kg of maize and pay the labor for her farming activity.

Dukundane Group's story

Stéphanie N. is a maize farmer and a member of the Dukundane group, and has been a client of ACB since 2008. Born in Rwanda, she is 36 years old, married, and has four children between the ages of 3 and 11. Three of them attend school. Stéphanie herself completed three years of primary school.

This is her first loan cycle with ACB. She will use the loan to buy 10 kg of maize, and pay for labor and other business-related expenses. Her business growth strategy is to increase her production of maize as well as the amount required by the Ministry of Agriculture. She wants to become a good farmer, ensure her family’s well-being, and give her children an education.
