A loan of $725 helped to purchase school supplies to sell in her general store.

Maria's story

Maria is a 54-year-old married mother with grown children. She lives in her own home with her husband in the La Matanza district of the Morropon province, located some four hours away from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of the Lambayeque region.

For two years, Maria has been running a small general store from home. There, she sells daily consumption products, such as basic need items and other goods. Maria is well-known in the area and has a solid client-base. With his business, she is able to cover both her personal and family expenses.

Since the school season has already started in Peru, her customers are currently purchasing school supplies for their children. Maria wants to meet this demand by purchasing more school supplies. For this reason, she sees the need to request a 2,000.00 PEN loan from Edpyme Alternativa. Maria has good personal and work references. She is a returning client of Edpyme Alternativa's and has fulfilled her prior commitments punctually. She is grateful to the Kiva lenders for their support in helping her business grow.
