A loan of $725 helped to purchase pig feed and materials to make pigpens.

Guadalupe's story

Trinidad is 32 years old and lives in her parents' house with her husband Raul, age 37, and their young children, for whom she works so arduously. Ever since childhood, she has had ties to pig breeding, which she learned from her parents. She is now in the business for herself. She thinks that this business is lucrative, especially when she sells pedigree pigs because they require more care and nutrition. She has decided to purchase materials to build pigpens and separate the boars from the sows and their piglets. Later on, when she has more capital, she will be able to build a cement pigpen, this way she can expand her pig breeding business in a more hygienic manner. Her biggest goal is to earn more money so that she can cover her children's educational expenses until they become professionals. This is her first loan from MFP, and she commits to making her payments punctually since she is planning on obtaining subsequent loans so that her business can grow. Once she obtains the loan she needs, she will purchase materials to make pigpens and feed that is balanced for her pigs' development.
