A loan of $375 helped to buy merchandise to stock her store.

Yanet's story

29 year-old Yanet is a very cheerful and hard-working woman who lives in Huarmamayo sector, in Quimbiri district. She currently lives in a rental house in the small village of Chiriumpiari but she owns her own home which is built out of wood and has a corrugated metal roof.

Yanet is a very industrious woman. Through hard work, she strives to excel in life despite the adversities that fate puts in her path. Yanet is a saleswoman who has a grocery store in Quimbiri district market. Yanet's store is the first to open its doors at 6.00am and she is always ready to greet her first customers who come to her establishment to buy her products.

What Yanet enjoys about her work is chatting to her customers and thereby remaining up to date on what is happening around her. She has been in this business for four years and considers the most difficult part of her work to be staying on her feet nearly all day long.

Yanet will use her loan to buy more food products for her business so that she can stock up with merchandise. Over time, she plans to invest her profits and buy a plot of land in the town of San Francisco so that she can provide a home for her future family. This is Yanet's eighth loan from MFP. She feels that this support will help her a lot in making progress in her work and she is grateful to the institution for granting her the loan. She will use the 1,000 Peruvian soles that she has requested to acquire merchandise for her store.
