Esperanza Del Socorro

Nicaragua
Leon, Nicaragua / Grocery Store

A loan of $550 helped to buy candies, soda, vegetables, 'bolis' (ice cream treats), bread, cookies and other products.

Esperanza Del Socorro's story

Esperanza Del Socorro has 3 grown-up children. Her business is a grocery store. Esperanza started working as she needed to make a daily income. She didn't have a job owing to her age and so she decided to set up her own business. In spite of the fact that she didn't have enough capital, she started out selling a few items such as bananas, cabbage, candies, soft drinks and 'bolis' (ice cream treats). Over time, and with the help of loans, Esperanza began to grow her business. She will use this current loan to buy candies, soda, vegetables, 'bolis', bread, cookies and other products. Her dream is to continue working and to have a store that is well stocked with the merchandise that sells best locally.
