Divina Cajucom's Group's story

Divina Gracia C. is 47 years old and widowed with five school-aged children. She is from the village of S. P. and is the group leader of “Divina C.'s Group,” a nine-member loan group offered by ASKI. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all collectively responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.

To make a living, Divina Gracia owns and operates a business raising livestock. Her main source of income comes from raising pigs for breeding. Divina Gracia has been engaged in her business for over two years and earns approximately 5,000 PHP a month.

Divina Gracia joined ASKI in 2011 to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a loan of 5,000 PHP to purchase livestock feed and other supplies. This will be her first loan from ASKI. Divina Gracia plans to use the additional revenue generated from her loan to pay the tuition fees of her children.
