Persevérance Plus Group's story

Veronique is the chairwoman of a community bank named “Persevérance Plus”, composed of 13 microentrepreneurs united in solidarity to receive loans from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC with the goal of developing their businesses.

Veronique is 36 years old and is married. She runs a telephone booth and sells soft drinks to earn income. She has been in her business for years. With hard work and determination, her business prospered. Veronique’s business is located in the east of the city of Kinshasa. She has previously received seven Hope RD Congo loans and has repaid them correctly. With the next loan, she intends to purchase more prepaid cards and increase the inventory in order to reinforce her working capital. Currently, she makes US$11 in profit each day. Her ambition is to someday open a shop in her area. Veronique takes care of her two nephews.
