A loan of $925 helped to buy feed for her animals.

Rosa's story

Rosa, aged 58, is a happy and hard working woman. She lives in her own house together with her husband Hugo, who is also 58. What she wants most is to have a peaceful old age. The business to which Rosa dedicates her time is the sale of guinea-pigs, chickens and ducks, which are well fed and cared for. Her stall is located in the largest market in the city of Tarma, where she has many customers and makes good money from her sales. She works with her husband and the two of them have developed the business together. What she likes best about her work is feeding her animals, because she is very dedicated to rearing them. She has been doing this for 6 years. The aspect she considers most difficult is having to stay at her stall all day to wait for customers. For the future, she plans to start raising larger livestock. This is her 9th loan with [field partner] MFP; she knows she must make her repayments on time and is happy to do so. She is a happy and responsible member of her communal bank. With the 2,000 Soles she is looking for, she intends to buy food fo her small animals, because she knows that she needs to feed them well if she wants to receive a good price for them.
