A loan of $300 helped to buy more guinea pigs.

Karina's story

25 year-old Karina is a very kind and sincere young woman who lives in her parents' home together with her beloved 2 year-old daughter Gabriela. She is prepared to work very hard in order to do well in life. By working hard for the well-being of her daughter, Karina has managed to get ahead in life. With a lot of effort, she managed to get a job in one of the busiest pizzerias in the city of Tarma. She started out serving diners but, over time, she learned to make pizzas and now she carries out that task.

In addition to that job, Karina also raises guinea pigs. This business is making her good income and so she would like to take further steps in it. What she most enjoys about her work is preparing pizzas as she has a lot of fun doing it. She has been in this job for one year and she considers the most difficult part of her work to be serving all the customers who come to the pizzeria since there is generally an awful lot of them. Over time, Karina would like to set up her own business and she is currently saving money for this purpose.

This is Karina's first loan from MFP and she knows that she must make her repayments punctually if she would like to access another loan in the future. Karina is a very calm member of her community bank which means that she is very well liked. She will use the 800 Peruvian soles she has requested to buy more guinea pigs in order to increase her farm and have more guinea pigs to sell.
