Trabajadoras De Señor De La Cruz Group's story

The “Workers for the Man on the Cross” Community Association is beginning their first loan cycle in the “Focal Center of the Andes”. This community association has eleven members. Mrs. Wilma is the president, Mrs. Clementina is the treasurer, and Mrs. Eugenia is the secretary. The businesses that the female members own are all different. Among them are commercial, manufacturing and service oriented businesses. The types of businesses include: knitting sweaters, making shawls, sewing sport’s clothes, selling clothes, buying sewing machines, selling sweaters, knitting tracksuits, selling vegetables, sewing skirts, and weaving traditional women’s shoulder cloths.
The president, Mrs. Wilma, is a young woman of 29 years. She is married and has two children. This is her first experience working with a community association. For the past four years she has been knitting folk art, a tradition she learned from her family. With the loan money she is requesting she will buy wool in order to increase her production of folk art. Currently she makes her items little by little, which she has to do, as she doesn’t have enough working capital.
When asked what she likes the most, Wilma responded, “Everything”.
