Dimbalante Group's story

The Dimbalante solidarity group was created in 1996. It is made up of 13 women who live in different neighborhoods but who meet every month for Banc Villageois activities. They are very close and share the same core interest which is the development of their local produce. The group is part of the Banc Villageois in Wango. Mrs. Kine F. (standing on the left of the photo and raising her hand) is in charge of the group. She is 57 years old, a widow and mother to six children. She raises chickens and is very experienced in this field, having carried it out for around five years. Her new loan will allow her to buy 500 chickens, food for them and veterinary products. Her aim is to contribute to her family's daily outgoings, increase her savings and provide for her personal needs.
