A loan of $775 helped a member to buy more clothes to sell.

Kosar's Group's story

Kosar lives in Pakpattan which is a small city of Punjab province in Pakistan and known for its agriculture industry. For the past ten years, she and her family have resided there in a two-room brick house in the area of Tahliwala.

She has applied for a loan from the Kiva partner, Asasah, to improve her business of selling clothes. She started this business after the death of her husband, C. M., some years ago. It was a time of great difficulty for her but she recovered her senses and started this business to bear the financial burden of her family.

She is the mother of a son and a daughter. She worked very hard for the continuation of her children’s education. Her son has completed his Masters education and sells vegetables because he didn’t find a better job after his education. Her daughter is a teacher in a nearby school.

Kosar is hopeful that through the loan investment, her business will improve and she will be able to fulfill the customers' needs and increase her profits.

She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her 4th loan application. In previous loan years, she has proven herself to be a responsible client by paying her installments on time and by attending every meeting.
