A loan of $375 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Guido's story

Guido is 41 years old. He is a very kind and hard-working man who lives in his own home together with his wife, 28 year-old Virginia, and his five beloved children who he would like to provide with a better quality of life.

Every morning, Guido takes a lot of care in working his land and making it fertile since he knows that the quality of his coffee plantations and avocado trees depends on it. After harvesting his crops, Guido takes them to the market in the town of Pichanaki to sell. What he most enjoys about his work is the fact that he has a lot of freedom to work on his land since he can make use of his own time and capital. He has been in this business for 10 years and he considers the most difficult part of his work to be weeding his coffee plantations.

Over time, Guido would like to buy more land so that he can increase his production. This is his first loan with MFP and he feels capable of making all his loan repayments. Guido is one of the most active members of his community bank and, for this reason, he is very well liked and respected. He will use the 1,000 Peruvian soles he has requested to buy more manure to make his land more fertile.
