A loan of $1,000 helped to acquire basic stationary items.

Maricela Pascuala's story

Maricela, age 34, is a hardworking woman who has made progress in her small stationary shop. Thanks to severance pay that she received and a loan when she began the business it has grown little by little. She works every day. Previously her mother helped her, but since her mother died Maricela works alone. One of the major difficulties for her business is crime in the area. She is a single mother who has two children, ages 6 and 8.

With the loan she wants to increase her productivity by acquiring basic stationary items. One of her goals is to have a much bigger shop stocked as a stationary store. She also wants to give a better education to her children.
