A loan of $550 helped to buy sacks of manure.

Albina's story

Albina is 46 years old. She is a very modest and hard-working woman who lives in her own home together with her husband, 55 year-old Evaristo, and her son, 8 year-old Nikel. She would like to proviD. her husband and son with a better quality of life.

Albina's business is growing potatoes, corn, beans and peas. Every day, very early in the morning, she works on her crops since she knows that the money she makes from the sale of her harvests depends greatly on the quality of her produce. Albina sells her crops in Tarma market since that is where they pay her the most. What she most likes about her work is harvesting her land since that is when she feels that the months of work have borne fruit. Albina has been in this business for 15 years and she considers the most difficult part of her work to be spraying her land since she always runs the risk of the chemicals affecting her health.

In the future, Albina will sow crops on all of her land in order to make more income. This is her eighth loan from MFP and she says that this support will help her a lot in making progress in her work. Albina is a very well-liked member of her community bank since she is very supportive of her fellow members. She will use the 1,500 Peruvian soles she has requested to buy more manure for her crops.
