The rural communal bank Las Abejitas D. Mayobamba (the Little Bees of Mayobamba) is in its second loan cycle with Kiva partner, FINCA Peru. It is located in the Vinchos district of Ayacucho and most members have agriculture or livestock businesses.

Agustina is a member of the bank. She is married and has six children who are all studying. She is taking a loan of 500 PEN to transport cereal grains to sell at fairs in San Felipe. She also sells potatoes, wheat and barley at the markets/fairs. Agustina has used the proceeds from her business to educate her children and has also been able to purchase cows. She would like to construct a house and have her children continue studying. She would also like to have her own stO. one day to make mO. profits.
