Houête Ayidekon Group's story

The Houête Ayidekon group consists of 29 women, who all live in the same neighborhood and have agreed to support each other in their businesses and loan repayments. This is their first loan with ALIDE as a group.

Odette (with her hand raised in the picture) is 51 years old, and has lived in Calavi all her life. She is married with six children. For 15 years she has run a stall from her home selling food supplies, and with this loan she hopes to restock her maize and spices. Her ambition is to grow her product line, and she cites her management skills as her greatest strength.
