A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase more wood so her son can increase the family's income.

Eang's story

Mrs. Eang C. L., 42, is a widow and lives only with her son in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia.

She works selling vegetables at an open-air market, making around $5 per day of profit.

Her son is married and works as a carpenter making cabinets, tables, chairs and closets and sells them to wholesalers, earning around $100 per month in revenue.

Mrs. Eang C. L. hopes to use this loan to purchase more wood so her son can expand his business and increase the family's income. ( Mrs. Eang C. L. is pictured with her two grandchildren)
