A loan of $725 helped to buy more clothes and footwear.

Gladys's story

58 year-old Gladys is a very loving and kind woman. She is separated and lives with two of her five children. For more than 13 years, she has been selling beauty products, shoes, casual clothes, suitcases and other products that her customers ask her for. She really enjoys her business and is always visiting her customers. As soon as her customers make requests, she heads to the department stores in the middle of Lima. If, however, they request footwear, she travels to Chiclayo province where she can buy wholesale, for a lower price. In this way she earns a lot more, in spite of having to pay for her transport and other expenses. Gladys prefers to offer her goods on credit because that way she makes more profits, even if her customers take a long time to pay her.

Right now, Gladys would like to be able to count on your help so that she can stock her business with more merchandise and continue to make progress. What Gladys would also really like to do is work in the culinary profession. In the future, when she has more capital, she would like to set up a restaurant in a central location in the city.

This is Glady's 22nd loan from MFP and she says that she is grateful for the help that she has received in the past and also for the help she will receive on this occasion. She says that she can be trusted to make her loan repayments on time. Gladys buys merchandise that she needs every 20 days. She will use the loan she has requested to buy more casual clothes and shoes in order to fill some orders that she has.
