Norma Jadida's story

Norma B. is a member of the 'Virgen de Bronce' community bank. She lives in Virgen de Bronce neighborhood, in the city of Cuenca. This city is home to four rivers and is known as 'Santa Ana of the Four Rivers'. There are a lot of tourist attractions and the people are kind, polite, very cultured and full of traditions.

Norma is 31 years old, married, and has two children aged 11 and 9 who attend school in the city. Her husband is a construction worker. Through their joint work and sacrifice, the couple have managed to build their own home.

Norma's business is raising and selling chickens and pigs. She does this work in order to help with their household finances. It also means that she can be at home to take care of her children.

This is Norma's second loan through her community bank and she will invest it in building a bigger shed for her chickens. Her goal is to finish her high school studies.
