Ana Dolores's story

Ana Dolores M. R. is 24 years old. She is married and lives with her husband and children in the Guaranda canton of Bolivar province. She has 3 children.

The members of the rural communal bank "Grupo de Mujeres Muschuc Nan" meet in the community of Guanto Cruz in the Guanujo parish in the canton of Guaranda. This communal bank has 22 members who farm raspberries and corn and raise poultry and dairy cows in order to make cheese.

Ana cultivates raspberries and corn and raises poultry. She buys her products in Guaranda, and she sells her products in the Guaranda market.

She requests a loan to purchase supplies and animals to raise, and also to buy feed for the animals. The support of this loan will help her financially to obtain the supplies she needs. In her work she must deal with challenges such as pests, changing weather conditions and diseases that affect her crops. Her dream is to provide her children with an education and to expand her business.

She enjoys knitting and spending time with her children.
