A loan of $425 helped to purchase bolts of cloth.

Ganiatou's story

Ganiatou is 34 years old and lives in the Sémé-Podji district of Cotonou, Benin's largest city. Together with her husband, Hervé, she looks after their four children who are all in school.

For the past seven years Ganiatou has been a travelling saleswoman, selling bolts of cloth which she sources from Tokpa, Benin's largest market. This is her third loan from ALIDE, following successful past repayments, and she will use it to increase her stock of cloth, with an aim to strengthen her sales figures.
