Judith's story

Judith, 36, is a mother of 4 children between 2 and 12 years. She is a dairy farmer from the town of Litein in Rift Valley, Kenya, where she has been farming for ten years. Her farm is currently producing milk and tea which are sold to the local market.

She has requested a loan of 40,000 Kes through Juhudi Kilimo to construct a zero grazing unit. The extra income from this loan will enable her improve her family's livelihood and pay school fees for her children. Her major challenge has been the fluctuating market prices of milk, which makes it hard for budgeting.
