Virgen De Guadalupe Group's story

The rural communal bank "Virgen D. Guadalupe" is in their 3rd loan cycle at FINCA Peru. The bank is located in the district of Huaytara in the province of Huancavelica. Members of the bank have businesses in production of alfalfa, fruits, other agriculture, and livestock production. The group is taking out a loan total of 9,600 PEN.

Teofila is taking out a loan of 600 PEN for the purchase of avocado seeds for growing and guinea pigs for reproduction. She is married, and has three children who are all studying.

Teofila would like to continue to educate her children so that they can become professionals, and to build a new house. With respect to her businesses, she would like to increase her avocado production and find more places to sell them, in addition to increasing her guinea pig production. Since joining FINCA she has enjoyed working more and increasing her loan amounts, and her savings at the same time.
