A loan of $1,000 helped to have maintenance work done on her vehicle (changing the piston rings).

Virginia's story

Virginia is a long-standing client of our institution. She has always shown a willingness to make her repayments and was kind and polite during her evaluation. Our client owns her own vehicle (a minibus) and is a member of the Mini Sur drivers' union in the city of La Paz. In order to provide for their family, Virginia and her husband work from 6.00am to 8.00pm. Virginia's husband drives the vehicle and Virginia is his assistant. She collects fares and manages the day's takings. Their efforts require a lot of sacrifice but they carry out their work in order to attain better living conditions. The family's biggest dream is to be in a stable financial situation and for their children to become professionals. They work hard every day to achieve this. Virginia will use her loan money to have some maintenance work carried out on the minibus. Virginia is a very hard-workiing person. She is grateful to the institution for the support they have offered her.

Note: Virginia appears in this photo together with her husband.
