The ”Águilas de Corazón" [Eagles With Heart] Community Lending Association is starting its eight loan cycle in the Los Andes Regional Office. There are nine members of the association, and Mery is the president of the board of directors.

The women are in different businesses, including woodworking, and sales of wood, cell phones, jackets, meals, salchipapas [sausage and potatoes], shoes, and clothing.

Mery, the president, is a young woman of 26, who is expecting a baby. This is her fourth year working with community lending associations and she's building her business on her own.

Currently Mery is a cell phone vendor; she buys the phones second hand. She tells us she plans to use her loan to buy more merchandise to sell at the 16 de Julio Market from her mobile cart, since she doesn't have a permanent stand.

When we asked Mery what she likes most about Pro Mujer, she said she likes the loans.

La Asociación Comunal ”ÁGUILAS DE CORAZÓN”, está iniciando su octavo ciclo en el Centro Focal de Los Andes. Esta asociación comunal cuenta con la participación de nueve integrantes. La mesa directiva tiene como presidenta a la señora Mery.

Los negocios de las señoras son diferentes, entre ellos tenemos la carpintería, venta de lana, venta de celulares, venta de chamarras, venta de comida, comercio, venta de salchipapas, comercio de zapatos, venta de ropa.

La presidenta, señora Mery es una mujer joven, tiene 26 años y esta esperando un bebe. Este es su cuarto año que trabaja con asociaciones comunales, desarrollando un negocio sola.

En la actualidad comercializa celulares, los que compra de ocasión, nos cuenta que con el crédito que sacará pretende comprar más mercadería que venderá en la feria de la 16 de julio de forma ambulante, pues ella no cuenta con un puesto fijo.

Cuando le consultamos qué es lo que más le gusta de Pro Mujer, la señora Mery responde el crédito.
