A loan of $975 helped a member to buy blankets and children's clothes.

Corazon De Jesus Group's story

‘Corazon D. Jesus’ [Jesus’ Heart] is the name that represents the beliefs of the communal group from Edaprospo prosperity program. The group was formed thanks to the support of the nine members from Huaripachi, mostly women, who have small businesses and make things by hand.

Juana Rosa is one of the group members and is the president. She sells blankets and children’s clothes. She has been doing it for five years because, she says, the cold climate aids this kind of business and it provides additional income to help her common-law partner with the family expenses.

At 54, Juana Rosa supports one of her grand-daughters so that she may complete her technical training as an accountant. Her constant struggle is to make sure that her children and grandchildren become good people and hard workers. We can see the photo where the group and part of her family are together. The electricity is not very strong in their area because it is remote.

In this group: Vilma Medalid, Bryan Jhair, Claritza Yoliza, Eugenia, Lidia Roxana, Geraldine Janet, Susana, Juana, Lisbeth Vanessa
