Yaneth's story

Yaneth is 33 years old. She was born in the community of Yanahuara in Urubamba Province, Department of Cusco, Peru. She is married and has one child. Currently, Yaneth lives in the community where he was born. Shs tells us that most of the people there engage in farming and raising cattle, but she has several businesses including a small grocery shop, raising young animals and also selling chichi de jora (a traditional drink made from fermented corn).

Yaneth needs the loan in order to purchase corn kernels for making chicha de jora and fruit for her shop. Yaneth belongs to the Asociación Arariwa’s Villa Marcelo de Virgen del Carmen Communal Bank.
