Hold Am Fine Group's story

Meet with members of the “Hold Am Fine” group from Waterloo, a small town in western Sierra Leone. They are all local entrepreneurs who have come to SMT, a partner of Kiva.org, to apply for a loan of SLL 500,000 for each. With the help of this loan they will be able to expand their businesses, make more sales and consequently improve on their living conditions. Abu Bakarr K. is the leader of this group. The 34-year-old is married to a businesswoman. They have 2 children who are not of school age. Abu Bakarr has been a businessman for 5 years now. He sells groundnuts. With his share of this loan, he will buy groundnuts in large quantity to add to his business.
