Bamory's story

Mr. Bamory S. was born on October 23 1966 in Bamako. Father of three children, he lives with his nuclear family in Noumousso – Kadiolo (the third largest administrative region in the republic of Mali).

For the past 15 years he has marketed agricultural and food products. His experience in this industry has earned him a good reputation and he constantly receives product orders. In order to have the resources necessary to satisfy his customers, he decided to collaborate with Soro Yiriwaso, a microfinance institution. After properly repaying his first loan, he is at his second loan from the group.

This loan will allow him to buy 800 kg of yams and 50 bunches of plantains. He stocks up in the Ivory Coast, a country bordering Mali. The products are transported directly to MOPTI for delivery. They are sold for cash to a clientele composed of men and women.

With this loan, he expects to make an average monthly profit of 100,000 FCFA. This profit will enable him to repay his loan and invest the rest in his business. He plans to become a reputable wholesaler in order to satisfy his many customers who continue to grow more numerous.
