Maria Carmelina's story

María is 25 years old and lives in Corinto, in Morazán department, with her husband and her 2 year-old son. She owns a business selling groceries.

María's business has existed for 8 years. She learned from her parents. María serves in her store from very early in the morning. She works from 6.00am to 6.00pm. Her advantage is that her business is located in her home which means that she can attend to her housework at the same time as she works in her store.

María is requesting a loan to buy basic grains as she would like to offer her customers rice, beans and corn. This will help her to better serve her customers. María's goal is to work with loans to develop her business and improve her family's living conditions.
