Diosnel Marcelino's story

Sr. Diosnel is 61 years old, separated, and his children are grown and independent. He lives in the Calle Yvate neighborhood of Itá. For more than 20 years he has had a shop in the city marketplace where he sells a wide variety of items such as household goods, gifts, toys, jewelry and trinkets, and santería items (santería is a blend of traditional African beliefs with Christianity).

He is requesting the loan at this time in order to increase his stock of toys by purchasing toy trucks, balls, dolls, backpacks and other toys, and santería items.

Sr. Diosnel has shown himself to be a very serious, responsible and hardworking person. He has been working since he was very young, and comes from a very humble family who instilled him with responsibility.

Thanks to his profession he improved his quality of life and helped his children study so they could be useful members of the community.
