A loan of $850 helped to buy peanuts and cashews.

Alicia Del Carmen's story

Alicia, 38, lives in Jiquilisco, Usulután Department with her husband and children who are 23, 20, 17, 15 and 11 years of age. She sells peanuts and cashews. She started the business 20 years ago. She travels to San Salvador and to Santa Tecla three times a week to sell the product.

She is asking for a loan to buy cashews and peanuts because this is the height of the season for these fruits and she wants to buy now at a better price. The loan will be very useful because she’ll have enough products to continue working in sales and thus help her family which is quite numerous.

Her goal is to continue improving the business and to help her children with their studies so that some day they will be high school graduates.
