A loan of $550 helped to purchase sosso, wax, and qualiwax pagnes (cloth).

Edgard's story

A 36-year-old young man with two children at school, he sells the pagnes (colorful West-African printed cloth) on a market stall, taking his clients' income into account.

For the past two years, he has used local wholesale suppliers. He purchases fashionable pagnes to appeal to his clients, and his daily sales vary between F30,000 and F120,000.

HOPE's loan will allow him to renew his pagnes inventory by purchasing twenty pagnes "sosso wax," ten "qualiwax," and ten "wax"; it's his moment to shine.
In the future, he intends on opening a store to sell pagnes wholesale and retail, to offer value to the women who wear his products.

By increasing his revenues, he will be able to provide for his family's financial and social needs.
His unaffected ways are renowned in his neighborhood.
