Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story

This group of women is called 'Mujeres Emprendedoras' (Enterprising Women). The group was formed in the city of Ita on May 20th, 2009. The current Director General, Lourdes Jiménez, contacted an advisor to find out how the 'Comité de Mujeres Emprendedoras' (Committee of Enterprising Women) works. She managed to get together 21 women who are now happily working on their 5th loan cycle. Lourdes' business is selling cosmetics from home. She is married and has two sons. She would like to be able to sell on a larger scale and in larger quantities but in order to achieve this she needs a greater variety of products. For this reason, she has requested her loan so that she can buy Avon cosmetics and sell them in the quantities that she believes will make her a good income. All the members of this group carry out activities in order to raise funds. They help each other to achieve the goals that they have within the group and with Fundación Paraguaya.

In this group: Lourdes, Mirtha, Ana, Carolina, Maria, Cecilia, Lina, Gregoria, Sonia, Felicia, Nohelia, Rosa, Radimilda, Delmira, Carmen, Eusebia, Feliciana, Dominga, Hilda, Luisa, Sinforiana
