A loan of $700 helped to buy basic grains, rice, beans, oil, vegetables, bags, plates, etc.

Katy Del Socorro's story

Katy Del Socorro is 44 years old and a woman who likes to work. Her business is selling meals. She has been in this business for more than 3 years.

Katy started out offering just a few dishes such as 'gallo pinto' (rice and beans), 'tajaditas' (fried plantain slices) 'queso frito' (fried cheese), 'maduro' (plantain), chicken and others. Katy's challenge in her business has been that she doesn't have enough working capital to offer a large variety of dishes. She will use her loan to buy products such as basic grains, rice, beans, oil, vegetables, bags, plates, etc. Her wish is to improve her home so that she can leave it to her children.
