A loan of $4,500 helped a member to increase her food stock.


Compressor Group's story

Christina B., who is in her mid-thirties, is married with three children. She has been running a food vending stall for five years. She works from 6:00am to 6:00pm daily and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be Christina's first loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She wants a loan to increase her food stock. Her business is a few kilometres from the city centre. Her dream is to one day build her own house and also send her children to good schools.

Christina will share this loan with her group "Compressor", which has a total of 18 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
