A loan of $2,250 helped a member to increase her stock of foods.


Betania Group's story

Mwanaisha S., who is in her mid-thirties is married with two children. She is a food vendor at a place called Ilala, some few kilometres from the small town called Kariakoo. She has been in this business for 10 years. She works from 5:00am to 4:00pm daily and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be Mwanaisha's 1st loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She hopes for a loan to increase her food stock. Her dream is to one day open a wholesale food shop.

Mwanaisha will share this loan with her loan group Bethania, which has total of 15 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable is paying back their loans.
