A loan of $800 helped to purchase leather, adhesives, rubber, solvents, and other supplies for making shoes.

Oscar Nelson's story

Sr. Oscar is 51 years old and works as a shoemaker. He is married to Sra. Lourdes, age 41, and they have a five year old son.

The couple has been managing a shoe store for more than ten years. Sr. Oscar learned this trade from his parents. He is now a professional shoemaker and produces his own brand of shoes called “IVAN”, which was launched with great effort and with the help of his wife. Oscar produces high-end shoes for women, men, and school children.

He is requesting a loan from Fundación Paraguaya in order to buy all types of basic supplies for making shoes such as genuine leather, imitation leather, adhesives, rubber, solvents, and other items. Acquiring these supplies would speed up production and help him meet the demands of all his customers.

Oscar expresses his appreciation for the support from Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva.
